Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has an official trailer out! A new Marvel, martial arts hero has arrived to the MCU. In the comic books, he is known as Marvel’s preeminent master of martial arts.
This trailer is a short introduction to Shang-Chi (played by Simu Liu). He is facing off against the mysterious Ten Rings Organization; headed up by the Mandarin. The Ten Rings organization has been around for much of the MCU. It was first introduced in Iron Man in 2008. However, this new movie promises to finally reveal the Ten Rings for the first time.
Simu Liu recently shared a poster teaser on his Twitter account, in full superhero garb. Ironically enough, it doesn’t appear too much in the trailer.
This upcoming film takes place in San Francisco. Where the martial arts master is trying to live life away from mystical (and family) drama. It obviously doesn’t work out too well for him.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is going to be Marvel’s return to theatrical films. It will exclusively be in theatres only in September. Unlike other Marvel films coming out, like Black Widow, which will premier on both Disney Plus Premier Access and in theatres.
