The Royal Wedding is here! During tonight’s finale of The Secrets of Sulphur Springs, we got that ‘jaw dropping’ Descendants news we’ve been waiting for!
We hear Mal’s voice over a magical animation- “A million moments lead to this, where bride and groom will share a kiss…” It’s official! Mal and Ben are getting married!! Descendants: The Royal Wedding will debut this summer!

Earlier this week, a couple of Disney Channel stars took to social media on behalf of Descendants 3. They each gave us little hints on what to watch, and to expect some crazy news! We were told to watch the finale of The Secrets of Sulphur Springs to find out what was going on in Auradon.
The Secrets of Sulphur Springs is a new paranormal series for kids and families. It aired in January of this year on Disney Plus. During the last episode tonight, news dropped about Mal and Ben getting married.
D23 has shed even more light on this event:
“The original cast of Descendants are returning to their popular roles and lending their voices to the animated series. This includes Dove Cameron as Mal, Sofia Carson as Evie, Booboo Stewart as Jay, Mitchell Hope as Ben, and many more. Descendants: The Royal Wedding will acknowledge the absence of the character Carlos, played by the late Cameron Boyce, in the storyline. Boyce’s memory also will be honored in the telecast.
Gary Marsh said, “Descendants introduced a fantasy world of stories and characters, anchored in Disney mythology. For the past six years, it captivated young viewers and grew to become among Disney Channel’s biggest entertainment franchises ever. It had the benefit of immensely talented stars, who we now welcome back for this animated Royal Wedding. This will bridge the audience to what we hope will be a new chapter of compelling Descendants stories and characters yet to come.”
We can expect Descendants: The Royal Wedding to debut this summer. Hades is sure to make an appearance, as his flaming hair flashed on the screen as the announcement faded out. The royal wedding will be an animated special that will premiere this summer on Disney Channel.
