White Castle began in Columbus, OH in 1921 and has expanded to over 370 locations across 13 states. Florida hasn’t had one since the 1960s. But, coming soon, Florida will once again have another famous castle in its midst.
Construction was set to begin in April of 2020, and should be finished by late 2020, or early 2021. Sitting at 4500 square feet, this will be one of their largest restaurants.
Known for it’s tiny square-shaped hamburgers, their menu also includes chicken and waffle sliders, and sloppy joe sliders. They also have a number of different sides to choose from. including french fries, chicken rings, mac’n cheese nibblers, and corndog nibblers.
Located in the Village at O-Town West on Daryl Carter Parkway off of I-4, it will give Disney World guests another affordable and quick dining option. You can read more about it in White Castle’s “Hot Off the Griddle”.
In addition to White Castle coming to FL, there are a few new onsite restaurants opening soon. Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew and Gideon’s Bakehouse will find a home in Disney Springs.
