This March, Disney+ is bringing the world of The Mighty Ducks back for a 10 episode series. A trailer was released this Thursday which gave fans a sneak peek as to what to expect this season. Lauren Graham and Emilio Estevez will star in the show. Estevez reprises his role as hockey coach Gordon Bombay.
Game Changers will pick up 30 years after the first The Mighty Ducks film. Since then, the team has become a very competitive junior hockey team. The series premise is as follows:
“Now a powerhouse in its division, the Mighty Ducks junior hockey team is selective about who makes the cut. After being kicked out, a 12-year-old boy named Evan, at the urging of his mother, forms a new hockey team of underdogs with the help of the Ducks’ original coach, Gordon Bombay.”
The series will premier on Disney+ on March 26th. Until then, fans can watch the original film, its two sequels, and the animated series on the streaming platform.
