Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Set to Expire on Jan. 24th

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom will be leaving Disney World at the end of this month. This interactive scavenger hunt had you searching the park for clues to defeat Hades and his evil minions. Guests would stop by the Firehouse on Main Street USA. There, they would receive their Key Card, Merlin’s Mystical Map, and spell cards.

Hades has an evil plan to make Magic Kingdom park his new summer home. He’s enlisted a brigade of Disney baddies—Cruella, Scar, Jafar, Maleficent, Ursula, Yzma, Ratcliffe and Dr. Facilier. They plan to help track down 4 enchanted crystal shards, which are hidden throughout the park. It’s up to you to foil their plans and save the day.

Mobile devices continue to play a vital role in the Disney Park experience. Disney is constantly creating new, on-the-go experiences such as Magic Mobile, Play Disney, and My Disney Experience. With the changes in how guests are using mobile technology, and the decreased demand with the game, it will be retiring soon.

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom used paper cards and some advanced technology as the screen read the different cards that guests would use. Presently, with all the new apps and experiences that are being created, this game no longer makes the cut.

However, guests still have until January 24th to experience this game. So, head over to Disney World for one last chance to save the Magic Kingdom.
