Disney+ concluded production on the long-awaited Hocus Pocus sequel, Hocus Pocus 2, late last week. While the studio has stated that the picture would be released in the fall of 2022, producer Adam Shankman has stated that it will be released via the streaming service this Halloween.
Three young women unwittingly bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem in the sequel. They must then devise a plan to prevent the child-eating witches from spreading devastation on the planet.
Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Doug Jones, Juju Brenner, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson, and Nina Kitchen will join Midler, Parker, and Najimy in the sequel’s cast.
The film was directed by Anne Fletcher and produced by Walt Disney Pictures, and it was based on a scenario by Jen D’Angelo.
