Season 2 of The Mandalorian concluded on December 18th in an explosive season finale. Coming off of a lot of momentum from Season 1, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni delivered a second season that brought even more accolades and attention to the popular Disney+ series.
The finale was followed by the announcement of multiple spin-off series including The Book of Boba Fett and a Ahsoka Tano series as well as an expectation of a third season of The Mandalorian. While we unfortunately have to wait until December for more Boba Fett, Din Djarin and Baby Yoda (Grogu) – Disney seems prepared to give fans their filling of these popular new and old characters.
According to Jim Hill of The Disney Dish, Disney plans on having a few admired characters from The Mandalorian universe join the Disney Parks in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
“We should anticipate seeing meet-and-greet opportunities with Mando and the Child, likewise Boba Fett will start making appearances, also Ahsoka Tano…”
If you have visited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge located with Disneyland Park (Opened in May 2019) or the one located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Opened in August 2019), you can attest to the fact that they have committed to making it a fully immersive experience with rolling character interactions, realistic scenery and revolutionary rides.
A new faction that has been dubbed the savior of the Star Wars franchise, it comes as no surprise to see Disney looking to take advantage of the popularity of The Mandalorian which has seemingly crossed boarders into main-stream media as well as pleasing Star Wars die-hards. With the introduction of the intimidating Din Djarin and Boba Fett, the unique look of Ahsoka Tano and the incalculable cuteness of Baby Yoda / Grogu – park-goers will be flocking to Galaxy’s Edge to interact with their favorite characters.
