Rick Moranis To Potentially Star In Honey We Shrunk Ourselves Sequel – ‘Shrunk!’
This week we have learned through Disney Insiders that Rick Moranis is in the early stages of reprising his role as Wayne Szalinski. This iconic character stared in three movies including theme park attraction Honey We Shrunk The Audience in EPCOT.
After his wife lost her battle with cancer, he left the movie business to concentrate on raising his children and focusing on family. Rick has spent decades out of the spot light and now has another opportunity to bring life back into this franchise.
We don’t have a confirmed shooting schedule but Disney could release this movie as early as late 2021! This would be Rick’s first major live action film since 1997!
It is also rumored that Josh Gad will join the movie as Wayne’s son Nick And to star aside Rick with the rest of the cast to be announced later this year. He is heard to have penned a deal with Disney and is super excited to become part of this Legacy Sequel
The title of the reboot is called ‘Shrunk’ and focuses on the time that has past since we last saw Wayne but to give you a synopsis at this point wouldn’t be accurate and only fan speculation.
