When the Magic Kingdom reopens mid July, Cinderella Castle will have a fresh coat of pink paint and a brand new sponsor to go with it. Procter & Gamble has entered a multi-year contract to sponsor the Magic Kingdom icon sources close to the Disney Company have noted.
P&G is looking for exclusivity in allowing only Pepto branded products to be used at gift shops and Disney resorts throughout the property. In years past park icons have received sponsorships including Spaceship Earth with Siemens. Disney has recently partnered with Target to promote Disney popup stores throughout the country.
They continue to look at different revenue streams to fuel their post-Pandemic recovery efforts. As we inch closer to re-opening day, stay tuned for more information as it develops.
