It’s no surprise that Pedro Pascal has captured everyone’s hearts as The Mandalorian. Well, him and Baby Yoda. Pascal plays Din Djarin/The Mandalorian/Mando in Disney’s newest Star Wars adventure. And thank goodness he is. He seems to be singlehandedly rescuing the franchise.
Orphaned during the Republic Era, Mando was raised as a foundling by the Children of the Watch. They were a cult that had broken off from Mainstream Mandalorian society. He was trained to become a warrior, and eventually joined the tribe which operated in secret on Nevarro.
After the fall of the Galactic Empire, Djarin made a name for himself as a part of the Bounty Hunters Guild. Traveling across the galaxy in the Razor Crest, he collected different bounties. Eventually, a job led him to find Baby Yoda. But, instead of turning him over, Mando had begun to form a bond with the child.
Pedro Pascal perfectly encompasses the true heart of The Mandalorian. Even without ever showing his face, he has kept us on the edge of our seats for two seasons now.
He also finds a surprising number of allies on his travels. Dune, Shand, Fett, and Mayfield are all instrumental throughout the second season.
Even Baby Yoda agrees that no one else could play a better Mandalorian than Pascal.
