The 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort in 2021 is shaping up to be out of this world with the latest sneak peeks of the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This week, more official sneak peeks were released of the vehicles that will be able to do the first ever reverse launch, as well as 360-degree motions.
The family friendly "storytelling" coaster was first announced at the D23 expo.
When it opens in 2021, the coaster will be located in the new "World Discover" section of Epcot. The way the cabs are designed is to give each one it's own experience to be fully immersed in the family-friendly storyline- focusing more on the interactive story, and less about showing off basic popular coaster tricks we've come to know. All of the new capabilities will be unlike anything we've ever seen from a Disney Parks ride!
If these amazing sneak peeks from Disney weren't enough of a welcome surprise, photos have also recently been leaked on a Dutch theme park forum from the manufacturer Vekoma's test track facilities in the Netherlands. Vekoma started manufacturing for roller coasters in the 1970's and their work can be found in amusement parks all around the world. (Photo credit: Sjaak Van Horn)
And now, prepare yourself for the uncovered test track photos!!!
Even if you aren't a Guardians fan, this ride just may change your mind!
