No screaming allowed. According to California state guidelines, you now have to keep quiet on rides. But, can you imagine being quiet on attractions like Big Thunder, Guardians, or the Incredicoaster?! With theme parks being able to open soon, and with new Covid risk guidelines, this is something theme parks now have to deal with.

Governor Newsom’s created a new “Blueprint For A Safer Economy”. It calls for theme parks, businesses, etc. to limit activities liked raised voices and shouting. Screaming and yelling will increase the spread of Covid-19. So, no screaming allowed.

CAPA (The California Attractions and Park Association) represents California theme parks like Disneyland and Magic Mountain. They are proposing that, with mandatory face masks and modified seating patterns on rides, that theme parks can “mitigate the effects of shouting”.

The worry about yelling on any of the attractions is that tiny droplets of saliva could fly onto other riders. Individual parks, however, are not required to adhere to the recommendations from CAPA.

What do you think? Is it possible to ride one of these attractions without yelling or screaming? Disneyland will be opening on April 30th, 2021. Are you planning on heading to the parks when they open next month?
