Disney has officially offered Nick Offerman the part of Mr. Smee in the new Peter Pan and Wendy movie. He is probably best known for his role as Ron Swanson in the hit series, Parks and Rec. Peter Pan and Wendy is a live-action adaptation of J.M Barrie’s classic tale of a boy would refused to grow up. He recruits three young siblings and takes them on adventures in Neverland.

Casting for the movie has already begun. Ever Anderson will play Wendy. Alexander Molony will be Peter Pan. Yara Shahidi will be Tinkerbell and Alyssa Wapanatahk will be Tiger Lily. And finally, Jude Law will be portraying Captain Hook.

So, do you think Jude Law and Nick Offerman will make a good pair? Mr. Smee is described as a supporting character who is the faithful sidekick to the vengeful Captain Hook. Of course, Offerman has had an impressive career in comedy. The chemistry between the two will be a very interesting twist to the cast.

There have been lots of adaptations throughout the years of J.M Barrie’s story. However, it will be interesting to see how this one turns out. One of my favorites will always be Hook, with Robin Williams.

Peter Pan and Wendy is scheduled to begin filming in just a couple of months. The movie will release directly on to Disney Plus.
