Live-Action Little Mermaid Cast FINALLY REVEALED!

It’s time to return under the sea!

One of the MANY announcements to come out of Disney Investor Day 2020 was the official cast of the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. It was already known that Halle Bailey, Melissa McCarthy, and Jacob Tremblay would be cast members, but today a full cast was revealed.

Disney confirmed the casting in a tweet.

Composer and music aficionado Allen Menken will work with Hamilton creator Lin Manuel-Miranda on new songs for the film. Don’t worry, the classics such as “Under the Sea”, “Kiss the Girl” and others will make a return!

No official release date for the film has been announced, but if all goes according to plan the team hopes to begin filming in London come January 2021.
