Kali River Rapids is just one of the refurbishments going on at Walt Disney World. However, this particular attraction has been closed since during the winter months, and was set to open tomorrow.
But it’s looking like Disney has reopened it a little sooner so that some Spring Break guests can cool off in the Florida heat.
Disney’s description reads: “Skim across an erupting geyser! Drift below a canopy of lush vegetation and be whisked along fast-moving rapids. Graze gushing waterfalls and bedrock amid the raging current. Then, as the harmony of nature is disrupted, you’ll plummet down a dramatic 20-foot slope!”
“You will surely get splashed on this attraction—and you may even get soaked. Guests wishing to remain dry are encouraged to bring a waterproof poncho, extra clothes or a towel to dry off.“
Apparently, the attraction has actually been “open” since March 29th. Four days before it’s scheduled open.
However, if you look online, the Disney World site says that the attraction is still under refurbishment until tomorrow. There is also no wait times posted on the My Disney Experience App.
So, if you are planning on going to Animal Kingdom today, you’re in for a treat. Stop by Kali River Rapids for a soaking good time, ahead of schedule!
