We’d be happy to see an Indiana Jones themed land at the park. We’d absolutely love to see a version of Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure in the rumoured land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Following many years of gossip, an Indiana Jones themed land may finally come to one of the Walt Disney World theme parks, according to Orlando Weekly. More specifically, this land could be added to Hollywood Studios.
According to Orlando Weekly, it seems that this rumoured land will include an indoor family ride, an outdoor roller coaster and a possible ultra themed resort, much like the forthcoming Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel.
The rumoured land’s concept has floated around Disney for a fair while to say the least, bouncing from a proposed expansion of a rumoured India Pavilion in Epcot to Indy taking on the dinosaurs in DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
It would be fair to suggest that none of those ideas gained much traction, possibly because of the “awkwardness” of a white, tomb-raiding interloper in the rumoured pavilion at Epcot and the weirdness of Indy punching a dinosaur…
…So Disney turned back to Hollywood Studios, which already houses Walt Disney World’s only Indiana Jones attraction anyway, the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. The Indiana Jones themed land is planned for sometime after 2021.
