This Friday, Walt Disney Animation Studio’s 59th feature film Raya and the Last Dragon will be released on Disney+ and in select theaters. The film’s official synopsis is as follows:
“‘Raya and the Last Dragon’ takes us on an exciting, epic journey to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together long ago in harmony. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world—it’s going to take trust and teamwork as well.”
Due to the pandemic, Disney+ subscribers can watch the film from the comfort of their own home- but it comes with a price- $29.99 to be exact.
According to Disney+, this Premier Access will enable Disney+ subscribers to watch the film as many times as they want before it becomes available to all Disney+ subscribers on June 4th, 2021. Those who choose to purchase Premier Access will also have access to the film for as long as they have an active account.
