Today is the day that many Disney fanatics have been waiting for since March 16th. Both Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom have finally opened to guests with park reservations! In the past week, we’ve seen a lot of updates about procedures and modifications around the parks thanks to Cast Members and Annual Passholders during their preview days. However, the real update will come from those who are in much larger crowds in the coming days and weeks.
So far it seems that Disney is going above and beyond with social distancing procedures, sanitizing rides, distanced character appearances, and even relaxation stations all put in place to keep the health and safety of guests top of mind. CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Bob Chapek, President of Walt Disney World, Jeff Vahle, and Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, Josh D’Amaro, have all been spotted in the parks monitoring operations, visiting with Cast Members, and talking with guests. All have expressed their excitement and well wishes to everyone returning to the parks.
The past 118 days have been hard for just about everyone, but the magic is finally back. Disney, along with some of their executives, took to several different social media platforms to celebrate this milestone reopening.
Here are some extra magical posts that will make you have all the Disney feels on reopening day:
If you are at the parks today, stay safe, have a magical time, and say thank you to a Cast Member! For those of you who are still at home there will be plenty of more updates to come for the rest of the day, so stay tuned!
