Today is National Cat Day, so we’re sending some appreciation by ranking our favorite Disney cats.
Figaro is the OG Disney cat. Walt Disney loved him so much, that he wanted him to appear in as much of “Pinocchio” as possible. Therefore, he gets the top spot on our list today.
Oliver is cute, resourceful, and brave. He would tie with The Aristocats, but his best friend Dodger, is Billy Joel. This makes his music better.
The Aristocats are a picture perfect family. Thomas O’ Malley, Duchess, Toulouse, Marie, and Berlioz made some pretty good music. Even being out of their element, the spoiled cats learn pretty quickly what to do to survive. That’s why they’re so high up on the list.
“Yes sir, right away, sir.” Sgt. Tibbs is one of the original hero cats. He risks his life to save the puppies in “101 Dalmatians.” Unlike other cats, he gets along with dogs. This earns him a pretty high ranking.
The Cheshire Cat is the definition of chaotic good. He toes the line between helping and hurting Alice. He’s lower on the list because he almost lost Alice her head.
Mittens, the cat from “Bolt,” is a middle of the road character. She’s sassy but secretly sweet in her own way. But, she doesn’t do anything super memorable that would warrant her higher up.
Lucifer is the definition of the devil. Chasing the mice around is what cats do, but he goes out of his way to make Cinderella’s life miserable as well. He does kind of get a redemption ark in the 2nd movie, but we’re not counting that here.
Honorable Mention – Mr. Fluffypants. The cat was only in one episode, but it looked like he was wearing pants. What’s cuter than that?
