Nearly two weeks after abruptly closing after a soft opening, the newest Disney Springs’ treat shop, Gideon’s Bakehouse, has had an explosive grand opening. Opening his first shop in Central Florida in 2016, Steve Lewis found instant success and critical acclaim and five years later, Gideon’s has joined the Disney Springs family.

Saturday was the official GRAND OPENING for Gideon’s Bakehouse and were clearly the talk of the town! For those who have been the victim of long Disney lines such as Flight of Passage or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, the next sentence isn’t for the faint of heart.

Gideon’s Bakehouse hit an 11-hour virtual queue today before shutting down the queue for the rest of the day. Thankfully, the wait is virtual so cookie-fans can walk around Disney Springs or go about their day unlike the traditional line queue. However, that didn’t stop a massive crowd from forming this morning…

With today’s turnout in mind, it will likely be a pretty long time before you can just stroll into Gideon’s and pick up a treat without waiting in a long line so be prepared if you want ‘The Frankenstein’ or some Gideon’s Bites!.
