Harper Mae Comparin was born with Spina Bifida. The condition occurs when a babies spinal cord doesn’t develop properly. This can cause muscle weakness and paralysis in lower limbs. Harper originally went viral when a video of her learning to walk at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital to “Baby Shark” spread across the internet like wildfire.

Now, a year and a half later, the toddler is working on her walking with a new friend, Mickey Mouse. The toddler spends her days walking all over the Disney World parks in Orlando. She loves to meet her favorite characters, even now, when the meeting is from afar. Her favorite characters are the Stormtroopers, because she loves Star Wars, according to her mom.

Her mom, Erica, says that she never lets Spina Bifida slow her down. “Nor does she let it stop her from living life to its fullest. She has such a positive attitude and spirit about her, even during some tough days,” she said. “Harper never gives up, and her perseverance knows no bounds.”
