Scheduled for later this spring, Spaceship Earth will begin its lengthy rehab May 26th, 2020. Disney Parks Blog has just announced new details on what we can expect once Spaceship Earth reopens in over two years. Focusing on storytelling and humanity, the new experience will showcase how we have evolved our storytelling through our history.
Disney Parks Blog posted, “Throughout the attraction, you’ll hear new narration and see how light plays a central role in our shared human journey, coming to life in dynamic ways in a celebration of the magic that’s possible when we all come together.”
We recently got a fresh look at the Egyptian scene and how the power of light will transcend over the scene with hieroglyphics glistening. We’re also told
Moana will have a dedicated scene in the attraction as well.
Standing 180ft tall Spaceship Earth opened with EPCOT in 1982. It has been the park’s landmark symbol since the beginning and can even be seen from space! It is unknown at this time if Dame Judi Dench will continue to narrate the 15 minute journey once it reopens. As more updates arrive we will share them with you at Just Disney!
