Disney’s Cruella Will Release in Theatres May 28th, 2021
Disney’s Cruella is set to hit theatres early this summer! May 28th, 2021 to be exact. The movie will star Emma Stone as Cruella. Glenn Close, who played Cruella in the original live action 101 Dalmatians, will be the Executive Producer on this film. Craig Gillespie (The Finest Hours, I, Tonya) will be directing.
The movie will be set in 1970s London. This live-action film explores how Cruella de Vil came to be. The movie will be a prequel to 101 Dalmatians. It was previously adapted as an animated feature and live-action remake by Disney.
In fact, the first look for this film was shared as part of Disney’s massive movie panel at the D23 Expo in August 2019. The official Walt Disney Studios Twitter account shared the photo. It shows Emma Stone, of course, in the full Cruella de Vil look, with several dalmatians on leashes in front of her. Her co-stars Joel Fry (Game of Thrones (2011)) and Paul Walter Hauser (I, Tonya (2017)) can be seen lingering in the background.
Disney’s Cruella follows a young fashion designer, Estella de Vil. She is obsessed with dog skins, especially Dalmatians. Eventually, she becomes a ruthless and terrifying villain known as Cruella.
With this in mind, we hope it gives you one hundred and one more reasons to be excited for this summer!

I just really hope that it does not have a negative for the Dalmatian breed. Such as inbreeding, overbreeding. The poor breed has enough problems, leave them a lone.
