Hoping to go to Disneyland soon? Although guests received cancellation emails for resort stays through September 5, they’re now able to make new ones starting September 16th. Reservations can only be made at select Disneyland hotels, and they can only be made until December. However, it’s a sign that things are moving in the right direction.
Unlike Walt Disney World, which reopened last month, Disneyland has remained closed. This is mostly due to an inability to make an agreement with the worker’s union about work conditions and government holdup. After a surge in Covid – 19 cases, California halted any reopening plans. Theme parks can’t open until Stage 3 of the state’s road map for reopening.
Obviously, we all want the reopening to be done safely, to protect cast members and park goers. It will be nice though, to sprinkle some pixie dust on a Disney fan’s day.
