Earlier this year, we announced that Splash Mountain would be re – themed to The Princess and the Frog. Guests flocked to the stores buying up all the merchandise they could. Now it seems, the merchandise isn’t the only Splash Mountain stuff that’s disappearing from the park.

Guests visiting Downtown Disney and the areas between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park recently noticed something strange. “Zip – a – Dee – Doo – Dah” has been removed from the music loop. An official statement from Disney says that the removal is “is part of a continuous process to deliver an environment that features stories that are relevant and inclusive.” They’ve also removed all references to “Song of the South” from the rides web pages.

It should be noted the ride itself still features the song and characters from the film, and undoubtedly will do so until it’s replacement. Are you excited for the new Splash Mountain? Let us know.
