According to the companies website, Walt Disney World is expanding it’s temperature checks to their restaurants as apart of their health and safety program. Disney World initially had check points at all theme parks as well as Disney Springs and now will require guests at all Disney restaurants to do the same. The protocol still does not include entrance to resorts but is another step forward in ensuring the health and safety of all guests and cast members.
Along with their enhanced measures and continuous updates to regulations such as face masks, Disney hopes the temp checks will continue to improve the conditions around their properties. “Based on guidance from health authorities, anyone displaying a temperature of 100.4 F or above will be directed to an additional location for re-screening and assistance. Those with temperatures 100.4 F or above will not be allowed entry; those in their party will not be allowed entry either,” according to Disney.
So far, their measures appear to be paying off after an article surfaced last night from News Center 8 citing “no outbreaks associated with Florida theme parks” according to health officials:
County health officials in Florida say they are not seeing any coronavirus outbreaks associated with reopening of theme parks.
Walt Disney World re-opened earlier this month, while Universal and SeaWorld reopened in June.
Orange County Public Health officials have been working with the parks to monitor any cases or outbreaks, and they have not seen an uptick. (WFLA.COM)
