As Walt Disney World slowly starts to allow guests to traverse through the winding walkways of Disney Springs, a few franchises and shops are itching to open their doors back up!
The Vice President of Disney Springs, Matt Simon, noted in an article released on May 16th that numerous shops will be re-opening that following week. Along with a few non-Disney owned venues, three Disney owned shops will also be opening back up: World of Disney, D-Luxe Burger (Mobile ordering), and the Marketplace Co-Op. These three stores are set to open back up on May 27th!
Simon also explained that there will be strict regulations when entering Disney Springs. These regulations include temperature screenings upon entry, suspension of valet parking indefinitely, garage parking only (no surface lot parking), and a few others.
The stores, including the ones not owned by Disney, will still be following the state and federal guidelines of social distancing, which means there will be a reduced capacity in each store, and checkout lines will be separated by 6 ft increments. It is also required that every guest over the age of three wear a face mask that is covering both the mouth and nose. For more information regarding these regulations, click here.
Along with guests, cast members will be following the same guidelines and regulations. All cast members will also be tasked with cleaning their work areas more frequently, as well as meticulously cleaning surfaces that will be touched multiple times by both cast members and guests, including doors, napkin dispensers, chairs, payment terminals, and other numerous surfaces.
When visiting Disney Springs, it may feel a little different. It might not feel quite right, but with faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust, the magic of Disney will always be there!
