Disney Jr. Dance Party Replaced

A new show has taken the place of the Disney Jr. Dance Party at Hollywood Studios. The new show is called “Disney Junior Play & Dance!” The change comes after regular performers from the Actors’ Equity Association have been unable to return to work due to tense arguments between them and Disney.

The original show featured a DJ who played favorite songs from Disney Jr. TV shows such as “Vampirina” and “Mickey’s Roadster Racers.” The characters from these hit shows come out and dance with all of the kids. Changes to the show seem minimal. They are playing the same songs and the same characters are coming to hang out. They are all observing social distancing guidelines.

The only change to the show is that the DJ is now a Disney Cast member, instead of a performer from the Actors’ Equity Association. This is likely because of tense negotiations between Disney and the Actors’ Equity Association. They want their performers to be able to wear masks and regularly get tested for Covid – 19. They have urged their employees not to take jobs at Disney until these requirements are met. This warning comes despite actors saying that they want to go back.

Hopefully, negotiations will end with an agreement, so the amazing actors can return to work. Until then, at least the little ones can dance around with their favorite Disney Jr. characters with some socially distanced fun!
