Disney is covering up some of their FastPass signs on their attractions.
A FastPass is a digital ticketing system. It allows every ticket holder to “skip-the-line” on three select attractions at one park per day. However, it’s looking like Disney still isn’t allowing guests to use their FastPass option.
FastPass signs throughout the parks are being covered up.
Is Disney taking this added perk away from guests? Or is it just because of the pandemic? Maybe it will come back this summer when things start to pick up. But if Disney IS actually getting rid of the FastPass option, will something else go in it’s place?
Perhaps Disney is switching things up and going to an Express Pass like Universal? For an additional fee, you would be able to skip the line on participating attractions once per day. Or, for a little bit more, you’d be able to skip lines an unlimited amount of times. I mean, that doesn’t sound half bad. But, it would just be another added cost.
Maybe the signs are being covered so that Cast Members will simply stopped being asked if FastPasses are available.
Since Disney is covering up their FastPass signs, will it put a pause on their new MagicMobile Service? Disney MagicMobile service is a convenient and contactless way to access MagicBand features. Guests will be able to use their iPhone, Apple Watch, or other smart devices.
Hopefully, it’s all just a limited time thing, and FastPasses will be up and running again soon!
