Disney Confirms They are Moving Forward with Specific Projects

Before Covid – 19, Disney had a multitude of projects slated for the next few years. After Covid – 19, the picture looks a lot different. The parks closed for a significant period of time. Therefore, Disney took a serious hit in revenue. This means that Disney has to reprioritize.

Yesterday, during a webcast, Disney Senior Executive VP and CFO, Christine McCarthy, confirmed Disney is currently focusing on 3 projects. According to McCarthy, the primary goal is to finish the Star Wars hotel, Avenger’s Campus, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad at Disneyland. Although no EPCOT projects were mentioned, there are a few moving forward, according to Disney officials.

Josh D’Amaro previously confirmed that construction resumed on Guardian’s of the Galaxy:Cosmic Rewind and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT. Tron: Lightcycle Power Run has also resumed construction. It is likely that most projects that had not started construction yet are postponed indefinitely. Although this is unfortunate, we are lucky Disney is finishing the upcoming projects.

Which project are you most excited for?
