Disney’s park pass reservation system and virtual queue system are also here to stay, according to Disney CEO Bob Chapek. Today at the J.P. Morgan Global Technology, Media, and Communications Conference, he shared this information.
Both systems, according to Chapek, helped guests stay healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also claimed that even after the pandemic is over, the park pass reservation system will remain in effect. Since the park pass calendar already runs into 2023, we figured as much.
Digital queues will still be in operation during the pandemic, according to Chapek. Virtual queues are a contentious subject among Disney fans. You either adore or despise them. The virtual queue functions similarly to a more extreme version of FastPass. Guests will try to get a spot in the virtual queue for select rides and attractions at two different times.
WEB SLINGERS: a Spider-Man Adventure, Disneyland’s newest attraction, will use the virtual queue, the company revealed today. We anticipate that more rides will begin to use the system as well.
