Chris Evans to Possibly Reprise Role as Captain America

Chris Evans is reportedly in talks to reprise his role as Steve Rogers, a.k.a our beloved Captain America. Evans retired from the role after Avengers: Endgame. He handed over his shield to Sam Wilson (played by Anthony Mackie). It was clear that Evans would never be returning as Capt. However, it’s looking like the tides are shifting.

Sources have informed Deadline that Evans has warmed up to the idea of returning to the MCU in some form. It’s looking like he might be dusting off his Captain America attire soon. It’s unlikely to be in a new Captain America installment; but more of a cameo, so to speak. Kind of like what Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) did following Iron Man 3.

It’s still vague if the deal has been completely closed yet. But we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Evans will return once again. The Marvel universe will always need their first avenger, Chris Evans. Thankfully, he is supportive enough of the MCU to think about coming back to us.
