Celebrating Disneyland at home can still be fun. No, it’s not the same, but die hard Disney fans can create magic anywhere. I’m actually suppose to be at Disneyland with my parents, my family, and my sisters families right now. That would have been 18 of us. To say we’re bummed is an understatement.
Looking through my photos always makes me homesick for Disney. Luckily, there are things we can do at home to help. Celebrating Disneyland, here we come!
Watching Some Fireworks or Parades Online
At my house, we have become experts on spending our evenings watching something Disney before putting the kids to bed. There’s so many choices on YouTube, it’s hard to pick sometimes.
Celebrating Disneyland by Making Disney Treats at Home
Another way to bring some Disney Magic home is by making your favorite treats right there in your kitchen. (We do a lot of Beignets and Dole Whips). Here’s a list of yummy recipes you can create yourself.
Disney Paper Parks
Really missing the parks? Why not create your very own paper parks at home. You could create Main Street, King Arthur’s Carousel, or even the Haunted Mansion.
Celebrating Disneyland with a Disneyland Paris Advent Calendar
Disneyland Paris has created an online Advent Calendar that everyone can enjoy from the comforts of their own home. Things ranging from different recipes to exclusive artwork, to DIY projects for the whole family. Check it out here!
Make Your Own Disney Ornaments
For the craftier people out there, you can make your own Disney ornaments. There’s so many different choices out there. But Disney Parks Blog has some adorable choices here.
Hopefully some of these ideas can help make homesick Disney fans miss Disney a little less.
