As a new president has taken office, so comes a change to Magic Kingdom’s Hall of Presidents. The final showing of President Trump’s animatronic debut was on January 19th 2021. Now, newly elected President Joe Biden’s animatronic replica is set to join the other 45 presidents in Magic Kingdom’s Hall of Presidents.

Implementing a new president into the Hall of Presidents has become tradition after each inauguration. The show includes a 25 minute film titled The Idea of a President. Since President Bill Clinton, all presidents have contributed a voice clip that will allow their replica to interact with the audience.

Adding newly elected President Joe Biden is no surprise as all U.S. presidents have been added no matter their term-length or political standings. Walt Disney World confirmed the refurbishments with this newly erected sign outside of The Hall of President’s building.

At this time there is no other information regarding other changes that may be implemented during this time of refurbishment. No definite reopening date has been announced as of now. Protocols for this change differs from previous refurbishments as this is the first time the show has accommodated a one-term president, resulting in a three-year show. However, when it does reopen we can look forward to a new show and animatronic addition when the exhibit reopens.
