BACK OPEN: Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World’s EPCOT and Hollywood Studios

Despite overarching sentiments and fears of a delay in the reopening strategy of certain Disney parks, three Walt Disney properties opened today for park goers in Florida and France. Walt Disney World followed up their July 11th reopening of Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom by opening the gates to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios today and were joined by their sister park in France with the reopening of Disneyland Paris.

This leaves only Disneyland in California as the last Disney park to reopen after everything was shut down due to Covid-19. The initial estimate for a return was shortly after the end of July but based on recent decisions by California governor Gavin Newsom, this is now up in the air. We highlighted a few new wrinkles to the experience at EPCOT earlier this week during cast previews, now let’s take a look at some sights and sounds from ‘opening day’ at Disneyland Paris, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

“It’s time for imagination and adventure today with the phased reopening of EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort,” Disney said in the announcement on Disney Parks Blog. “As the parks take their deliberate and responsible approach to this next milestone, Disney cast members are ready and waiting to help guests discover worlds both real and imagined once again.”
