It’s looking like there’s a CA only rule for when Disneyland opens as soon as next month. There have been some major announcements recently for the West Coast theme park. Starting with their ticketed event- A Touch of Disney.
On Friday, Governor Newsom released a “Blueprint Refresh”. Theme parks in CA, no matter how big or small, will be able to reopen in a matter of weeks! Disneyland President, Ken Potrock, sent out a statement about bringing back cast members.
Sadly, there are some rather strict guidelines for the parks. First, they are allowed to reopen in the Red Tier of California’s new “Blueprint for a Safer Economy”. Within the Red Tier, parks can only open at 15% capacity. While the rides will be up and running again, indoor attractions will remain closed.
Another stipulation is that only California Residents will be able to visit Disneyland when it first opens, according to state officials. Disney has yet to respond to how they will approach this new rule.
Out of state Disney fans are, of course, bummed and a bit envious. However, many people are just excited for the cast members that get to return back to work. They finally get to start bringing back the magic to everyone who visits ‘The Happiest Place on Earth’.
What do you think about this new CA only rule? And California residents- are y’all excited, and planning on going back to the park when it opens next month? Let us know!
Awesome!!!!
