Vaccinated Guests Will Still Have to Wear Masks When Visiting Walt Disney World

The mask policy for guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida has been updated. Guests who have received the COVID-19 vaccine will still be required to wear a face-covering when visiting the parks.

The new policy reads as follows:

“Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming. You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you must be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing.”

Since the park re-opened in July 2020, mask-wearing has been mandatory for all guests (aged 2 and up) and Cast Members. All face coverings must:

  • Be made with at least 2 layers of breathable material
  • Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin
  • Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
  • Be secured with ties or ear loops and allow the Guest to remain hands-free

This excludes “neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas, and face coverings containing valves, mesh materials or holes of any kind” according to the company’s website.

Disney has released many Disney-themed face coverings that guests can purchase to wear in the parks. Patterns and designs ranging from princesses to The Mandalorian. Safety for both Cast Members and guests is a top priority for Disney. The changing rules and regulations are put in place to help keep all those who enter the parks remain healthy.
