Big news about the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland and Disney World has just been released! Disney will officially be “building on the story” of the attraction on both coasts. The attraction will soon include new adventures- with more humor, wildlife, and of course skippers!
Kevin Lively, a Disney Imagineer and former Skipper has shared a few more details regarding the new storyline. As part of the new story update, guests will follow a skipper and his passengers as their journey goes awry. For the first time ever the skipper role won’t just be that of the live guide. The skipper will ALSO be represented by a show figure inside of the attraction itself!
According to Disney, Imagineers will be inviting current Jungle Cruise skippers from both Disney World and Disneyland to hear more about the new adventures and wonders coming the attraction. These changes will happen later this year. But at this time, a date for when the attraction will close in Disney World has not been shared.
