As part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration, early theme park access is back. But, in an entirely new way. 2020 saw a lot of changes for the Disney parks. There have been adjustments to park hopping, safety regulations, etc. However, it’s looking like early entry into the parks is back!
Guests staying at Disney-owned resorts will be allowed 30 minute early entry to ANY theme park every day. This is different from the Extra Magic Hours. That allowed one hour early entry to certain parks on certain days. Guests will now have the ability to enter the parks early, no matter what day it is.
This benefit will not only give back to park guests, but will potentially lessen early morning crowds. Disney has said this new system will help them spread visitation throughout all four theme parks. As opposed to bringing back Extra Magic Hours. Which would have guests all flocking to one park.
Disney has not yet released when this new early entry into the parks will begin. However, guests will need a valid theme park ticket AND a park pass reservation for the park they’re planning to visit. Reducing incoming morning, and outgoing evening crowds has been one of Disney’s top priorities.
With all these changes at Disney World, hopefully it’s a sign of seeing more benefits and experiences coming back to the parks! As always, if you’re unsure about something, check Disney’s website here!
