If you want to spend a day at a Walt Disney World Park, you must adhere to their new masks guidelines put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic. All guests ages two and older must wear an ear-looped face covering.
Earlier this week, one man was spotted not refusing to follow these guidelines as was subsequently asked to leave Hollywood Studios. As he was being escorted out, he went on a screaming rampage and made misquoted Pixar’s A Bug’s Life. The interesting encounter was captured by @yourWDWguy on Twitter.
True Pixar fans will know that the man is misquoting Hopper the villainous grasshopper. The man exclaims, “Remember the movie that came out at Walt Disney World? It was called A Bug’s Life! Remember Hopper? He said, ‘If one guy stands up, one ant stands up’!”
The correct quote is, “You let one ant stand up to us, then they all might stand up” and is stated in the middle and referenced at the end of the film. You can view the original scenes below.
The man’s hope of starting an anti-mask revolution at Walt Disney World seems to have gone nowhere as no one else joined in on his rant.
Disney requires guests and Cast Members to wear face coverings for everyone’s safety.
