BREAKING: ‘Mulan’ Live-Action Remake Available Sep. 4th For $29.99 On Disney+

Originally scheduled for a March 27th theatrical release, the remake of one of Disney’s most beloved animations finally has a release date. Just two weeks after it was announced the film would be pushed back ‘indefinitely’, Disney performed a quick 360 and set a date as well as an additional cost for Mulan.

Mulan will be released on the streaming platform Disney+ at the cost of $29.99. The movie was initially rescheduled for July 24th, then August 21st, then ‘indefinite delay’ until this latest announcement. Disney executives walked through the new plan for Mulan’s release during an earnings call with analysts today. “We thought it was important to find alternative ways to bring [Mulan] in a timely manner,” – Disney CEO Bob Chapek.

With the unusually high ‘premium rental’ charge that comes with the film that doubles most theater ticket prices, it will be interesting to see the results for Disney+ for new subscriptions as well as single Mulan rental purchases. Check out the trailer below:
