To many of us, it feels so recently that Walt Disney World decided to make a long-awaited addition to the Magic Kingdom resort monorail loop. Believe it or not, today marks the 11th anniversary of Bay Lake Tower’s debut, the lavish resort featuring 295 villas throughout sixteen luxurious stories.
As the ninth Disney Vacation Club Resort, Bay Lake Tower follows the modern theme of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, located directly beside the property, and allows guests to easily navigate between the two buildings via a sky bridge. It also features a short walkway to the entrance of Magic Kingdom, along with spectacular views from each and every villa; from beautiful Bay Lake to the glimmering Cinderella Castle, you can’t go wrong.
A fan favorite aspect of Bay Lake Tower has to be the Top of the World Lounge, where guests are granted access to a spacious viewing deck and an indoor area with a full bar. This is the perfect spot to catch fireworks (which hopefully make a return, soon) and reminisce on your magical vacation.
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is now accepting reservations! Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the Top of the World Lounge is temporarily closed, and the Electrical Water Pageant that would normally make its rounds to the Magic Kingdom Resorts is temporarily unavailable.
According to the Walt Disney World website, the following experiences are currently available at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort:
