Oogie Boogie Bash 2020 has been cancelled…
Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland’s California Adventure replaced Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. It debuted in 2019. It is an after-hours event where kids and adults can dress up as their favorite characters and trick or treat at their favorite rides. One can also meet their favorite villains. People walk around with newly bought Halloween merchandise, such as glow in the dark Oogie Boogie popcorn bucket or a light-up poison apple cauldron. Families have a chance to ride popular rides without super long lines since you have to purchase a second ticket to attend this event. This starts in September on select nights and ends Halloween night.
The coronavirus pandemic has affected many things this 2020 year. And now Oogie Boogie Bash has been canceled per the Disneyland website. Disneyland in California and it’s Aulani resort in Hawaii are the only resorts that have yet to open. Its counterparts around the world have reopened at limited capacity, requiring masks and social distancing. Disneyland has said it will not reopen until California’s governor lightens its restrictions. Let’s hope that the virus numbers stabilize or fall so we can enjoy Christmas at the parks.
