In the annual publication of Esquire Magazine’s ‘Best Bars in America’, Star Wars: Oga’s Cantina at Galaxy’s Edge was named as one of the best in the 2020 list. Black Spire Outpost would not be complete without a cantina in which serves pilots, bounty hunters, smugglers, locals, and galactic travelers alike. Oga’s Cantina has been a huge hit with guests because of the space-like drinks, iconic cantina music, and dark atmosphere that comes straight out of the Star Wars movies. This galactic eatery always has a long line to enter, and for good reason because this place is just incredibly cool.
Adrienne Westenfeld wrote the description in this year’s publication. She wrote, “For many, the first memory of a bar is likely Episode IV’s cantina scene—who didn’t want to hang out there? That would explain the constant lines outside Oga’s Cantina, a part of the Star Wars theme park, Galaxy’s Edge. But it is worth the wait to have that proto–bar fantasy fulfilled. There are smoking drinks in neon colors, a starship pilot turned DJ, and—who knows?—Han Solo might just slide in next to you”.
There have definitely been some mixed reviews of the actual drinks found in the cantina. Many people have said that the beverages are extremely sugary, but nonetheless it is a great way to take a load off and cool down from that Florida heat. It should also be noted that children are allowed in the cantina, but many parents have advised not to bring children in because the atmosphere can be a bit loud and crowded.
