Classic or Disney Channel Original? Spooky or Funny? Halloween doesn’t always have to be scary, and Disney has us covered! Fall is in the air, and the Trick-or-Treating season is upon us. Now is the perfect time to pop some popcorn, grab your favorite drink, and sit down to watch these 13 Disney movies you can’t skip in October!

#1– Hocus Pocus

The Sanderson Sisters are back and hungry for children! Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker), and Mary (Kathy Najimy) return from 17th-century Salem after they’re accidentally conjured up by some unsuspecting pranksters! It’s a night full of zany fun and comic chaos once the tricky 300-year-old trio set out to cast a spell on the town and reclaim their youth… but first they must get their act together and outwit three kids and a talking cat!

#2- Frankenweenie

From Disney and creative genius Tim Burton (Alice in Wonderland, The Nightmare Before Christmas) come the hilarious and offbeat Frankenweenie, a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life— with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers, and the entire town learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

Buzzy Crocker (Steve Guttenberg) is a down-on-his-luck journalist who, with the help of his niece Anna (Kirsten Dunst) investigate a 1939 mystery in which five people vanish from a hotel elevator on Halloween.

#4- Zombies

Now that the government has created a device that stops zombies from craving brains, Seabrook High- a school focused on uniformity, traditions, and pep rallies- faces student integration with the Zombietown kids. As the human and zombie students struggle to coexist, a budding friendship between cheerleader Allison and zombie Zed could unite their high school and community for good.

#5- Can of Worms

Mike Pilsbury identifies more with the imaginary aliens he spins elaborate stories about than he does with kids his own age. So he broadcasts a plea into space, begging aliens to come and take him away. But Mike gets more than he bargained for when they actually show up! Now that he has opened up a can of worms, Mike scrambles to enlist the help of his friends to help save the world.

#6- Halloweentown

Marnie (Kimberly Brown) and her younger siblings follow their estranged grandmother- a good witch (Debbie Reynolds)- to her home in Halloweentown, where witches, goblins, vampires, and the like all lead very normal lives. On her 13th birthday, Marnie learns that she comes from a witch family, and that she too is a witch. When she discovers that an evil force is plotting to take over Halloweentown, she must help her mother and grandmother save the day.

#7- The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

Two unforgettable children’s stories, “The Wind in the Willows”, and “The Legends of Sleepy Hollow” come together in one amazing adventure. First, hang on for a wild motorcar ride with J. Thaddeus Toad as he drives his friends into a worried frenzy! Then meet the spindly Ichabod Crane, who needs to fend off the town bully and comes face to face with the Headless Horseman.

#8- The Haunted Mansion

Eddie Murphy stars as a real estate agent whose family comes face-to-face with 999 grim, grinning ghosts in creepy old Gracey Manor. Now with the help of supernatural psychic Madame Leota (Jennifer Tilly), they hilariously battle to break the mansion of its age-old curse… and do it before the clock strikes 13!

#9- Mickey’s House of Villains

It’s Halloween night at the House of Mouse, and a lot of villains are showing up. Jafar has a trick in store for the unusual heroes of the House, but the villains have to wait until midnight for him to unleash it.

#10- Girl VS. Monster

Skylar discovers her parents are monster-hunters after accidentally releasing a monster from a secret containment chamber. Now the monster is out for revenge, and Skylar and her techno friends must recapture the monster and save her parents.

#11- Phantom of the Megaplex

Seventeen-year-old Pete Riley works as the assistant manager at the local movie theatre, where rumor has it a “phantom” haunts the megaplex. But while Pete and the rest of the staff are working to prepare for a star-studded premiere, a string of peculiar-occurrences– all tied to the films being shown– awakens the myth of the Phantom of the Megaplex. Is there really a phantom, or just a phantom wannabe?

#12- Twitches

Superstar twin sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry star as “twitches”, twin witches who were separated at birth. On their 21st birthday, Alex (Tia) and Camyrn (Tamera) reunite and discover that their unusual powers double in strength when they work together. Get caught in their spell as they work their magic to save everyone they love and fulfill their destiny.

#13- The Nightmare Before Christmas

Bored with same old scare-and-scream routine, Pumpkin King Jack Skellington longs to spread the joy of Christmas. But his merry mission puts Santa in jeopardy and creates a nightmare for good little boys and girls everywhere.
